Easy To Build Lean-To Shed Plans -Build A Lean To Shed This Weekend
Most of us find we don’t have enough room to store all our possessions. If this is your problem, you are certainly not alone. We always seem to be acquiring more “things”, and as our family expands so does our need for more more storage space.
As our family increased, our garage started filling up with all the extra stuff that children always seem to need. Bikes, toys, outdoor play sets…all filled the shed during the winter months, leaving no room to store the firewood we needed. It was when we had to start leaving the car outside the garage that we decided it really was time for more storage space.
With winter fast approaching, we decided our first priority would focus on building a wood shed to hold the firewood we would need over the colder months.
I wanted to find a shed plan that would fit in with our house but would be easy to build. I spent some time looking at some shed plans online, and come up with a perfect little lean to shed plan that suited my needs perfectly. I knew it would look really great built alongside the back wall, and it had the added advantage of being really handy to the back door. This makes it a breeze to get more wood whenever we need without fighting the elements!
I was surprised at just how many different types of lean to shed plans there are. It all depends on what purpose you want your shed for. Some lean to sheds have doors on the front, securing them from the weather and making them safe to store fertilizers or sharp garden tools. This keeps both your kids and your pets safe. There are plans for lean to garden sheds, lean to wood sheds, (which need ventilation) or even lean to potting sheds.
I eventually found a simple lean to plan online, which I was easily able to adapt to suit exactly what I wanted. The plan I chose was very easy to follow, and it ensured I didn’t leave out any important parts! For example, because I was building the lean to against the house and not free standing, the plan showed me how I could adapt the structure and still make sure it was strong enough to support the roof and doors, and I also learnt a simple technique that explained to me how to waterproof my lean to shed correctly.
We all love having the extra storage space, and it’s great to be able to park the car in the garage again. It was a really enjoyable experience being able to build my own shed. In fact, I’m already planning my next project! I saved a bucket load of money doing it myself, and I learnt a lot too. It’s really easy to build a shed youself, so don’t hold back, find some plans and start planning and preparing to build your own shed this weekend. Just think of all the extra storage room you can enjoy!

Hi, great site. Here is a link to a similar site, which I have found helpful on this topic. I tried to build a garden shed (not too successfully I may tell you), but your site really has some great content.

I had the same problem buying to much for the kids and then had no where to store it. So i had to build your own shed to fit everything away.
