Great Gates!

If you are are garden junkie like me you want your gates and fencing to look perfect.  The problem with most gates is that if they are automatic, they have arms on them that are visually unattractive.  This problem can be solved using the attractive and efficient Gate Opener system by Turnstyle enterprises.

The turnstyle enterprises Armless Gate Opener system is a revoultionary approach to gates and gate openers.  The Gate Operator  is slimline and easy to fit, leaving the gate to look as beautiful as “regular gates” but with the added functionality you are looking for.

The site has been well constructed - and the videos are really something.  They show how the system works so you can get a really good idea of how these gates can enhance the look and feel of your property.   The gates can be used with all different styles of fencing and gates, giving you a real opportunity to enhance your property in a way you never dreamed of before.  These gates are cost effective, easy to install, versatile, safe and reliable and attractive.  So the next time you need to upgrade your gates, Turnstile Enterprises is the first place you need to go!

These are gorgeous, thanks! I need a new gate around our pool, and by law it has to be self closing. I wonder if this would suffice. I am so tired of the same ol’ thing.

Those gates look and sound promising. However I’d be a bit wary of how strong they’ll be with no arms for opening and closing.

i saw them at the builder show and they were opening huge wrought iron gates. They must have weighed a at least a few hundred pounds.

I went to the site before saying anything here. I was very impressed! I will definitely pass this info to my wife (the buyer in our family lol). We really do need a gate, and this does appear to be the ideal way to go.

Love the pic with the elephant too btw!

    :O)

I wouldn’t use it for external gates, doesn’t look strong enough to hold off unwanted visitors. Could work great if you wanted to keep certain parts of the garden from the reach of children.

They do look very pretty however I’m with the above commenter. How strong are they with no arms? Can kids break though them on their bike or power wheels?

I couldn’t help but chuckle at the pic of the elephant in your garden.

The elephant is known as the architect of the savannah… and for good reason. A few years ago I drove through the bush in Cameroon in deep elephant country, and they had been busy pushing down whole treest to eat the leaves. If you actually let that elephant join you in the garden, your lush garden would only last about 10 seconds from what I have seen.

On another note, I am an award-winning gardener, and one thing I notice as conspicuously absent from most gardening pages is a 12 month garden.

This is something I have just accomplished myself. I live in freezing cold Warsaw, Poland (zone 6), and winters can be brutal (although the last two have been wimpy). This year - for the first time - I have had something blooming in my garden EVERY SINGLE MONTH OF THE YEAR! That’s right. Even if you came to my house in December, there were some flowers (late flowering Erica Carnea). They kept on going right up until my very early Hamamelis Intermedia (Witch Hazel) began to bloom at the end of January - although you can find some that bloom as early as December! The Hamamelis flowered for over 6 weeks and preceded and outlasted the crocuses. After that, everything starts to bloom and it carries you right through to the next year.

Sorry for posting rapid-fire, but here’s what I did to get 12 months of blooms in zone 6:
January - Remnants of last season’s Calluna Vulgaris
    Hamamelis Intermedia (Witch Hazel)
    February - Hamamelis Intermedia
Last wisps of late Calluna Vulgaris
March - Galanthus, Early Crocus, Hamamelis, Erica Carnea Darlyensis,
April - Everything else starts to flower.
    May - Everything
    June, July, August, September,
October - Chrysanthemum, Early Aster, Calluna Vulgaris
November - Calluna Vulgaris, Aster, Chrysanthemum
December - Calluna Vulgaris, Aster, Chrysanthemum remnants, early Hamamelis Intermedia

So that’s how I got 12 months worth of blooms in zone 6. I left out the easy spring and summer months, because everything blooms then.

Gates and fencing are an important part of gardening. They can add to the serenity of a garden or detract from the beauty if they are not right. I found the elephant in the picture to be quite endearing and it made me smile! :)

I really don’t like those bulky looking contraptions they use to automatically close the gate. This system looks much better.

I’m not a big fan of gates mainly because they tend to slow me down when I’m trying to get home. How is the opening speed on these things?

Well, I did it. I purchased a Turnstyle Gate Openeing System and I have to tell you it is quite frankly the BEST GATE SYSTEM EVER!

The gates are gorgeous without the arms. It is so strong even stronger than conventional gate systems. It has a bolt lock that is awesome and I hear that a magnetic lock is coming.

These things are GREEN. Direct current (12V) with a soloar charger optional (I took it of course). You can wire it up if you like but I have run them for two months with not even having to switch the battery once.

I installe dthem myself with few tools (I aske dthem and they sent me the three wrenches needed at no extra cost). THey walked me through installation and the gates lined up like nothing else I ever did.

The cycle time to open was 13 seconds including the bolt lock being thrown. The gates are so quiet. I will never ever use an armed opener again.

These folks have their act together. Kudos to Trunstyle.

I will have to add this company to my list of “interesting products for when I start working as a designer” list.

This is great as many people want the automatic gate but hate the look of them.
